Kr8ink Website Redesign

Kr8ink, a futuristic creative agency, needed a refreshed digital presence that truly embodied its cosmic identity. As the founder and lead designer, I took on the challenge of crafting a portfolio website that wasn’t just stylish, but fast, lightweight, and purposeful—built with Elementor Pro on WordPress.

Project Goals

  • Rebuild the website to reflect Kr8ink’s interstellar brand identity
  • Improve user journey across all devices
  • Showcase portfolio, services, and blog in a more engaging way
  • Integrate contact and booking solutions seamlessly
  • Optimize for performance, accessibility, and SEO

Turnover: January 2025 (4 weeks)

Tools Used: Figma, WordPress (Elementor Pro), Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects

🔭 Design Process

A journey through strategy, structure, and visual storytelling—this process was rooted in aligning brand identity with digital clarity, crafting an experience that felt imaginative yet grounded.

1. Discovery & Strategy

I mapped out key goals: showcase our work, present services clearly, and allow potential clients to get in touch effortlessly. This involved identifying must-have sections, streamlining navigation, and sketching the page structure.

2. Wireframing & Design

I created a clean layout with a playful yet professional tone. The homepage features core sections like About Me, Services, Projects, and a contact form. Visual hierarchy, typography, and space were carefully balanced to reflect the brand’s cosmic vibe without overloading the user.

3. Development

Built entirely in WordPress using Elementor Pro, the site is intentionally light with no unnecessary animations, no complex scripts. Smooth scroll was custom-coded for anchor links like “About” and “Hire Me” to enhance user experience.

4. Optimization & Launch

Tested across browsers and devices, ensured high page speed scores, and launched with connected Google Analytics and SEO metadata.

⚠️ Challenges Faced

Even a cosmic vision faces gravity—this section breaks down the technical constraints, design limitations, and user flow challenges that surfaced during the rebuild, and how they were tackled creatively.

1. Smooth Scroll Issues

Anchor links worked well on desktop but defaulted to instant jump on mobile. I solved this by injecting a custom JavaScript snippet via WPCode for consistent scrolling across all devices.

2. Popup Integration Limitations

Initially attempted Calendly’s badge widget, but it didn’t fit the site experience. I removed it to keep the interface clean and clutter-free.

3. Underlined Links in Project Titles

Elementor’s styling didn’t override WordPress defaults in Loop Grids. I applied custom CSS to eliminate the underline.

📈 Outcome

A bold, sleek portfolio site that reflects Kr8ink’s creative essence while remaining fast and user-friendly. It sets a solid foundation for future upgrades like Calendly, dark theme, and interactive elements.
